Adventure outside! The Offutt Base Lake is open for camping, fishing, archery, and more!

No swimming allowed. There are underwater hazards that make it unsafe.

Construction Update

The FAMCAMP, Boat House, and Pavilion were damaged in the 2019 flood. Construction has started to replace the facilities. Access to the East side of the property is restricted by construction fencing. Anyone using the Base Lake area should stay out of the fenced area for safety. We hope to reopen facilities in 2024.

Camping

Six dry campsites are available for ONLY $12 per night. Travel trailers up to 30′ are allowed. No motorhomes or 5th wheels. Tent camping is available in 2 designated areas for ONLY $9 per night.

Currently there are NO services on site due to flood damage. No electric, sewer, or water. No storm shelter.

Campfires are allowed ONLY in designated fire rings.

Spots are first come, first served. NO reservations. Max 72-hour stay.

Campers can self register on site if paying by cash or check. Call Outdoor Rec at 402-294-4049 to pay by credit card.

Fishing

The lake is stocked with a variety of fish. Shore fishing is not allowed inside the construction fencing or from the peninsula.

A State of Nebraska fishing permit & a Base Lake fishing license are required. The age requirement is 16+ for both permits. Buy permits & licenses at Outdoor Rec in Bldg 362.

The Base Lake permit is $6 for an annual pass that runs for a calendar year (Jan – Dec).

There are multiple options & prices for the State of NE license. You can find a chart on the Nebraska Game & Parks website.

Boating

Canoes & kayaks are allowed. NO motorized boats or stand up paddle boards. All occupants must wear a life jacket. Rent canoes & kayaks at Offutt Equipment Rental in Bldg 362. Life jackets are included in any boat rental.

Archery

The archery target area requires a pass & signed agreement to access. Single Day, Season, and Family pricing available. Buy Archery passes at Outdoor Rec in Bldg 362.
