Offutt Base Lake



Must have a DoD ID to access Base Lake & facilities.

Adventure outside! The Offutt Base Lake is open for camping, fishing, archery, and more!

No swimming allowed. There are underwater hazards that make it unsafe.



Construction Update

Construction is complete on Eagles Landing, our new consolidated recreation facility at the Base Lake. Our official grand opening is set for April 2025!

Camping spots are available for the off season. See details below.

Camping

45 FAMCAMP sites are available for $20 per night during the off season.

Water is currently winterized and shut off to each site, there is a hydrant left on year-round in sites 1-10.

Tent camping is available in designated areas for $9 per night.

Campfires are allowed ONLY in designated fire rings.

Spots are first come, first served. No reservations during off season.

Campers can self register on site if paying by cash or check. Call Outdoor Recreation at 402-294-4049 to pay via credit card.

Fishing

The lake is stocked with a variety of fish.

A State of Nebraska fishing permit & a Base Lake fishing license are required. The age requirement is 16+ for both permits. Buy permits & licenses at Outdoor Rec in Bldg 362.

The Base Lake permit is $6 for an annual pass that runs for a calendar year (Jan – Dec).

There are multiple options & prices for the State of NE license. You can find a chart on the Nebraska Game & Parks website.

Boating

Canoes & kayaks are allowed. NO motorized boats or stand up paddle boards. All occupants must wear a life jacket. Rent canoes & kayaks at Offutt Equipment Rental in Bldg 362. Life jackets are included in any boat rental.

Archery

The archery target area requires a pass & signed agreement to access. Single Day, Season, and Family pricing available. Buy Archery passes at Outdoor Rec in Bldg 362.
