The LeMay Aero Club was founded in 1950 at the direction of General Curtis E. LeMay. The Club is a recreational activity that promotes morale for DOD personnel and dependents through safe, low cost aircraft operations. Aero Club members may pursue private and professional aeronautical ratings at the LeMay Flight Training Center. Courses offered include Private, Instrument, Commercial, Multi-engine (centerline thrust restriction removed), Certified Flight Instructor, Instrument Instructor, Multi-engine Instructor, and Airline Transport Pilot.
