OTS Opportunities are Back: The OTS/BOT program for active duty personnel has reopened and boards are scheduled for later this year and next year (see link below). TDSP boards are for civilian applicants only. The rated and non-rated boards will be open to ALL degrees. AFOQT and GPA waivers will NOT be entertained for these boards. Please refer to HQ AFRES website

For questions/clarification of the information, contact the Education Center to sign-up for our Commissioning Seminar, held 0830 hrs , the 2nd Thurs of the month, or to schedule an appointment with an advisor if you have completed/are near completion of requirements, ie, degree, AFOQT, etc, and are ready to submit an application, 294-5716.

MilTA E-Degree Plan Briefing: Every Thursday, 1000 hrs, classroom #14, we hold a "how-to-TA Brief" that is open to everyone . it is important for personnel who plan to use TA read the Tutorial on AFVEC and/or attend the briefing , depending on what questions you may have after reviewing the tutorials. Starting in FY-15, the only degree plan that will be accepted is the e-degree plan. Students should start using the e-plan now to avoid disruption in TA processing/services. Contact the Education Center's Customer Service desk to sign-up, 294-5716.

Course 14, v6 Clarification: The following information is provided to clarify SNCOA Course 14 update: There is no interruption in Course 14V6 for "currently enrolled" students-- if you are enrolled, press on with the course; "New" enrollments are suspended until on or about 1 Jul 14, at which time students will be enrolled in the revised Course 14, v6, Edition 1; after 1 Jul current enrollees will also notice an improvement in technical functionality; Course 14V6 must be completed prior to being scheduled for resident SNCOA starting with class 15-A; course polices will remain the same when V6, Edition 1 is released. Eligible Airman can contact the AU Support Helpdesk (DSN: 596-7297) or the Education Center, (294-5716) with questions.

Changes to AF Military Tuition Assistance (TA) Program: Effective 1 Oct 2014, there were major changes to the AF TA process with implementation of the new Voluntary Education AFI 36-2649. Changes included revised application deadlines, credit hours limitations, e-degree plan requirements, etc.
