The Airman & Family Readiness Center (A&FRC) is the cornerstone of the Offutt AFB family support system, helping families and singles achieve readiness and enhance their quality of life. All services are free.
The Prevention and Relationship Enhancement Program (PREP) is a four week course designed for all couples looking to improve their relationship. Four week programs and one day programs are available. The next four week program is October 3, 10, 17 and 24 from 3 - 5 p.m. The next one day classes are June 9 and Aug. 25 from 8:30 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. All classes are held at the Airman & Family Readiness Center. Camp Offutt provides military youth with special needs the camp experience in an accessible setting while offering caregivers a healthy break. This year’s camp is July 12 – 13 at Camp Eagle near Fremont, Nebraska. All activities and meals are provided free. Children must be ages 7 – 20, be the child of an active duty, National Guard, Reserve or retired service member and be registered in the Exceptional Family Member Program. 1-2-3 Magic teaches easy-to-learn parenting solutions that can help improve children’s behavior. Topics include stopping obnoxious behavior and misbehavior in public, dealing with six kinds of testing and manipulation, disciplining children without yelling and more. The next class is July 18 from 9 a.m. – 12 p.m. at the Airman and Family Readiness Center in Bldg. C. Call 294-4329 to register.
