Transition Assistance Program
This program assists separating or retiring military members transitioning into civilian life. The 3 1/2 day program runs from 1 - 4:30 p.m. on July 19 and 8 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. on July 20-22.

Home Buying Workshop
Are you considering buying a home? Do you understand the advantages and disadvantages? Can you afford it? Where do you start with credit and financing, and what does it take to get a home loan? For these answers and more, attend this workshop from 8 a.m. – 12 p.m. on July 23.

Smooth Move Program
If you are PCSing in 2010, then plan to attend this helpful program from 1 – 3:30 p.m. on July 27.  
 

Growing Your Money
This workshop is designed to help you realize your  dreams by learning the financial skills necessary to maintain a spending plan, use checking and savings accounts, and build or repair your credit.  This two-part workshop from 1 – 4 p.m. on August 3 and 10. 

Families of the Deployed Picnic - view flyer
Come out to the Base Lake on August 4, 5-8 p.m., and enjoy a great meal of BBQ brisket, pork, hot dogs, baked beans, chips, and special summer treats of cotton candy and sno cones! Activities will include pony rides, train rides, bouncy castles, paddleboats and canoe rides (assistance provided), water games, Frisbee golf and archery for the older children! Bring a swimsuit and a 1.5 - 2” photo to make a button! Tickets are required - stop by the SAC Memorial Chapel or the Airman and Family Readiness Center by August 2 to pick them up. Resume Workshop
Looking for a job? Attend this workshop from 8:30 – 11:30 a.m. on  August 10. Get helpful new information on writing a great resume!

Are you planning to buy a car soon? What can you afford and what style is best for you? For answers to these questions and more, attend our Car Buying Strategies class from 8:30 – 11:30 a.m. on August 11.

Heart Link provides essential information to spouses to make life in the Air Force fulfilling and rewarding. Join us for a fun-filled day of interactive games, presentations, prizes, and more, 8 a.m. – 3 p.m. on August 25.  Navy, Marine, and Army spouses are cordially invited, too! Childcare reimbursement, continental breakfast, and lunch are provided.

Offutt Job Fair - view flyer
Don’t miss the Offutt Job Fair, September 8, 10 a.m. - 2:30 p.m., at the Lied Activity Center (located off Fort Crook Road and Highway 370). Open to all active duty, DoD civilians, reserve, veterans, guard, retirees, and family members. We will provide resume critiquing. Women in Progress - view flyer
Join the Airman & Family Readiness Center for a support group about, for, and hosted by women. The group meets every Thursday from 6 – 7:30 p.m. to discuss relationships, family, communication, deployment, separation, careers, and more.

Military & Family Life Consultants
Military & Family Life Consultants are here to listen. MFLCs are available to help AF service members, spouses, children, and DoD civilians address issues related to deployment, reintegration, relationships, marriage, divorce, parenting, communication, family, stress, anxiety, depression, grief, and daily life. Consultations are free and confidential. No records are kept. Call 402-650-6427 to schedule an appointment.
